Default Assist in selling some/all of your collection?

(This is a paid post… my first, thx Leon)

I wanted to send a quick FYI to anyone who may be thinking of liquidating some or all of their vintage baseball collection

As some of you may recall, I was fortunate enough to be at the center of the Morehouse Babe Ruth Red Sox Rookie card discovery last summer and Fall (the total collection, including many sold here, is approaching $1.5 million). I already had solid roots as a seller/collector of vintage baseball here and a number of other FB pages dedicated to vintage collectors.

Since that Ruth discovery, I have ramped up “Gross Vintage Baseball” and have a somewhat unique model to help collectors to sell with our help and to generate yields quite a bit more than selling to other dealers at shows, shops or online.

Not everyone loves to sell! Or is comfortable with negotiations… or they may not have yet developed their own reputation for selling and struggle a bit when they look to sell.

If you or anyone you know is thinking of selling off some of all of your vintage (pre-war through to mid 1970’s) and think you might like some experienced help to max the value return on your efforts, I’d love to hear from you.

Since the Ruth story, I have added about 10-12 advanced collections and have helped sellers get strong value on their sales - let me know if you’d like to chat and discuss your needs too.

Thanks all -

Jeff/Ben Gross

Hey Jeff, I really hope all is well and I know we have talked about your services before and will keep you and your son in mind. I already help multiple dealers and collectors within New England, so we should connect next time at a show.

Would love to send a good word to all the collectors/dealers I know to help you guys out.

Take care! and good luck

Jimmy

I wish you the best of luck !!

BTW, what a GREAT name !!!

Although I have to say having the last name Gross wasn't the easiest as a kid. I vividly remember back when I was in Kindergarten, 60 years ago. I was sitting at my seat at a table of 5 or 6 other students having our milk and cookie break. One kid laughs as he swallows a sip of milk, and it spits out his nose (as only 5 year olds can do).

All the other kids reply -- "Oh, Gross !!"

Then they all point at me and laugh.

I remember saying to myself -- "Man, that's going to get &%#& old fast."

................... and it did

Still, Fun, fun, Scott

A brother in Gross!!

My family leans waaaay into our name. Our son was married and the party wedding website header was “Let’s get GROSS!”

And we had a 20+ year tradition of hosting an epic neighborhood Halloween party that we called “A Very Gross Halloween Party”

You gotta be lucky to be Gross!!
