Would like to see the backs. Scans don't look good. But why would anyone fake those two commons?

Yeah those are pretty obvious fakes!
Border is too white and printing is to bold and dark

Is it cost effective to make fake commons? How much would it cost to set up everything needed to make them and how many would you have to make/sell to really have it make financial sense?

They're most likely aged legit reprints, not something someone went to a ton of expense to set up to defraud.

Last I checked, even low grade CJ commons can command like $400+ these days. I'd guess that's why.

Lazy fakers didn't even bother making the backs upside-down like 1915s are supposed to be.

Unless GM just chose to flip the scans. I'm far from an expert on Cracker Jacks, but yeah - that black print does look awfully bold.

Going by the crease marks, the backs don't appear to be upside-down.

Ah, right you are. Yeah that's a bad call by GM.

A month or two ago there was a person selling a handful of t206s on another forum. Something about the cards just seemed a little off to me. The seller had stellar feedback on the forum and proof the cards came awhile back from Greg Morris so talking with a MOD, he was comfortable letting the sales post continue. Honestly, it could just have been the seller's camera playing tricks, but I have never seen authentic t206's without the proper shading pattern.
I kept an image for future reference. 1st is my image is my card, second is one the seller had and was offering.

I am still awaiting for Mr. Toe Moss to show if his allegedly genuine Merkle CJ received an authentic grade from SGC. If so, I owe him $100, and I always pay my debts.

And I’m still waiting on SGC to finish the submission Yoda aka John Spencer. Hope you keep your greenbacks close to you.

There is a complete set of reprinted cracker Jacks. Renato Glasso made the set

I had a set because I like the writing on the backs and knew that I could never own all of them.

Ebay has some for sale.

Hopefully they didn't fool anyone who was paying more than scant attention. The Dovers all say reprint on the backs, and the fronts are glossy with colors that are way off...

I agree. The back looks pretty good. The front is more obvious w/the wrong colors, and wrong font at bottom.

That’s big talk from someone who’s about to lose a bet about a fake CJ.
