Default 1915 Cracker Jack Album has arrived!

Yesterday was Christmas in May…..my original 1915 Cracker Jack Album arrived. I purchased it from a member on this forum who responded to my WTB post last year. This person exemplifies what this great about this forum in all aspects.
For its age , it is amazing shape, with original string binding, etc. The embossed cover is quite elegant. Based on materials etc, it is mystifying it lasted these 110 years thus far. As the new steward of it, I will keep it in its current condition until it is passed to the next caretaker.
So, at last, one of my Holy Grails found. Now I have to figure out how to display it while keeping it as nice as it arrived to me yesterday. Enjoy the photos!

Nice album!

Are you going to do it justice and crack slabs and paste the cards in the album?

I tell you what Fred…those three 1914’s I placed on that page for the picture sure look good! That may be why the album is so muted in color as the cards really pop against that background.
No, there may be someone out there braver than me , but if I ever was lucky enough to find an album with cards glued in( like the one on Antiques Roadshow), I don’t think I’d remove the cards. It would be interesting to know the final fate of that album. I do want to display it, but how is the question at this point. Love your comment though….I should have said “Hell yes I am” and then see the comments. Thanks Fred!

Initially, I saw just a portion of the page and only Schalk was visible. For the briefest of moments, I thought there really were cards pasted in the album. You're absolutely correct; the cards look great against that page.

Big congrats! Amazing piece of baseball card history. I have 2 and they are the prizes of my collection. As far as how to display them, I have one of them inside a nice frame with matting surrounding it hanging on my wall underneath a display case filled with Cracker Jack cards.
I was in contact with Beckett and they told me that they would encapsulate them and then vanished on me and havent been able to get ahold of them since, despite multiple emails and messages to all of their instagram pages.
Maybe youll have better luck trying to get through to them.
