**ENDED**postcard: Cubs ballpark prior to Wrigley Field
West Side Ball Grounds Chicago Cubs home before Wrigley Field low grade as pictured.
(I will be out of town at auction end, so shipment will be delayed 4 days) In late 1915, Charles Weeghman's Federal League folded. The resourceful Weeghman formed a syndicate including the chewing gum manufacturer William Wrigley Jr. to buy the Chicago Cubs from Charles P. Taft for about $500,000. Weeghman immediately moved the Cubs from the dilapidated West Side Grounds to his two-year-old park Wrigley Field. PayPal friends/family. Shipping is $1 in a plain white envelope. In the event the envelope is lost in the mail, I’ll refund 1/2 the purchase amount to the buyer. This just seems fair to me. I can guarantee I will drop the envelope in the mail. Rather than mail a plain white envelope at buyers risk, we can share the risk. I combine shipping.
