The Red Cross backs are the most rare from what I remember. Broadleaf/Cycle would be the next.

Miller, Loudermilk, and Lewis are the most difficult players to find.

I agree with the earlier comments. Cicotte and Speaker are popular and lower population. I'd recommend looking at the PSA Pop Report to see which cards have lower populations among the "commons". The Mullen and Daubert maybe a little more valuable.

Speaker is available with four backs, all in the Recruit class of backs:

Recruit (240 and 606)
Anonymous Factory 3
Napoleon.

Weaver is moderately difficult and comes in a myriad of backs, including the impossible Red Cross.

If I remember correctly Ellis was the rarest with a common (Recruit) back.

The Lewis card comes in 2 variations: emblem on the sleeve and without emblem, which is much rarer.

Ellis has historically been viewed as one of the 'rarest' Recruits, but - like the Broadleaf class of cards ... you'll get differences of opinion depending on who you ask. Engle and Carrigan were two difficult ones for me, along with Hageman (for different reasons).
