Default 1910 E103 Williams Caramel

Just picked up a lower grade, E103 Bender.
E103s seem to get little respect, except for Cobby and Honus....

From the OldCardboard.com website..

Year(s) Published: 1910
Hobby Designation: E103
Set Name: Williams Caramel
Card Size (inches): 1-1/2 x 2-3/4
Number of Cards in Set: 30
Est. Value (common; VG): $540

*Produced by Williams Caramel Co. of Oxford, PA
*Red backgrounds surround colored player portraits
*Printed on very thin card (heavy paper) stock
*Player name, position and team printed in bottom margin
*Williams Caramel Co. also shown as sponsor on last line
*Majority of player poses are found in the M116 set
*Unnumbered set with blank backs

show an E103 if you would like to....

William and his (I assume) brother Ernest collected T206 cards. This is the first non-T206 card with one of their names I have seen.

+1 That’s pretty awesome. What are the odds?!

Time to rebuild the William Born collection à la Howe McCormick.
