Default PSA 8 M101-4 TSN Maranville and Pipp

Please feel free to make an offer on either of the following PSA 8 m101-4 Sporting News cards:

By way of reference, Heritage just auctioned an entire set last week, card by card, and most of the common PSA 8s went for $5000 each- by my quick count 32 different cards hit that mark and a handful went for even more (two surpassed $10K each). Pipp is a somewhat more noteworthy common-- renown for being the man Lou Gehrig replaced--so factor that if you will.

As for Rabbit comps, I see that a PSA8 Hooper went for $12,200.00 and an off-center Johnny Evers sold for $25,620.00 even though it had a blank back. A PSA 7 Home Run Baker went for more than $10K and it too had the more common blank back. On the other end of the PSA 8 HOF spectrum, Clark Griffith sold for $7625.00 and Hughie Jennings went for only $6100 – I guess managers aren’t as popular.

No doubt these cards went to bidders focused on the highest grades, although 7s and 6s sold very well also. If you want one of these 8s either for yourself or to flip then feel free to make a competitive offer using the above as rough guidelines as to what I would find acceptable. As always, thanks for looking.
