Default Off Topic - Coins & Pocket watches inheritance question

Apologies for clogging up the main page, and please reply via PM instead of to the thread.

I obtained these state quarters (sorted by state in each tube) and also some pocket watches due to the death of my mother-in-law, which was expected and peaceful not a surprise and gruesome.

My question : is it most likely that these are the coin equivalent of 1986 Topps commons, or should I put some effort into them?

Thank you in advance,
Doug

Hard to imagine the quarters are worth more than 25 cents apiece since they’re relatively recently issued.

Not much to go on with the pocket watches without some pics, unless I’m just blind and they’re in there somewhere.

Coins like that from circulation are worth face value. Roll them and cash them in.

There are a couple of error coins from the state quarters.

If they really are UNCs, then there might be a dealer who would pay a small premium (e.g., 50˘). Some do carry them and sell them for around $2-4. From your end, it might take a little searching, and it might not be worth your time.

I have ~$30 face in pre-'83 pennies that are worth 2.6x face in melt. I'd love to find a buyer, but that might not happen.

I believe the Georgia state coin has a significant error that might be worth a few bucks if you have them…

State Quarters have a number of errors. Look them up and search before you roll them up.

I don't think they are worth selling but might be a nice gift for a young niece or nephew who might be interested in coins.

The pocket watches are a different matter, depending. I have a railroad pocket watch with railroad use and history provenance. I know for a fact it is worth a fair amount of money. Check those inherited watches carefully...
