Default Removing Ink From Vintage Press Photo

I've had this press photo framed for years with the intention of maybe one day cleaning the markings from the image and since I took it off the wall today to get a scan of the image I figured now would be as good a time as ever ask around. If anyone has a recommendation that would not effect the print I would love to hear it.

I can’t say I can really see the ink you’re talking about…

Is the ink the giant arrow? I think it’s pretty sharp the way it is right now IMO…..

I wouldn't risk it personally, black ink often smears when trying to remove from photos, plus it looks pretty cool now

Yes, it's the giant arrow. This a 1934 copy originating from the Detroit Free Press. I have a copy of the local newspaper from 1968 when Bridges passed away that features the image, but they state they no longer have the original copy.

OK. I thought you added the giant arrow to point to some ink.

Yeah, looks like that might be impossible to remove unless you paid big, big bucks.
