Default 1940 Play Ball Joe Jackson

Hello everyone. New to this forum. I’ve come across this card and wondering if it’s legit. It’s graded by a fringe grading company. (PSG) any advice would be appreciated

You have to ask yourself, if someone had that particular card and wanted it graded, then why use an obscure company?

Most likely, anybody that's going to respond to the post is going to say it looks odd and most likely is a reprint that has been made to look old. Just curious, what grade is on the flip? Can you post a picture of the entire front of the slab.

Default No good

The black and white images are easier to differentiate as the shadowed areas are much less clear/defined (often darker) on the fakes vs. the real ones.

I am actively buying and selling vintage sports cards graded and raw. Feedback as a buyer: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=297262

I am accepting select private consignments of quality vintage cards (raw or graded) and collecting "want" lists for higher end ($1K+) vintage cards.

Looks artificially aged. Maybe he had it in his pocket when he took the Nestea Plunge!

Put that Jackson card under a black light. If it doesn't fluoresce then you might have something there. It's an easy test. I agree with the others, absent the uv light test and without seeing that card in person, it's probably not worth more than what it would cost to mail it.
