Default T200 Fatima Premiums

Anyone here have a T200 Fatima Premium or have experience with them? Are the exactly the same as the regular issues as far as paper and quality? Did they come with a mount of any kind? I purchased one, and although it has not yet arrived I am curious to make some comparisons just to be safe. The one coming to me is framed, but I will be expecting it thoroughly when it arrives. Assuming it hasn't been trimmed in any way that can't be seen behind the mat - mine does measure correctly so that's a bonus. To my knowledge they were never reproduced that I have been able to find.

Good luck. Those are exceedingly rare and usually in wretched condition when they are found due to size. If that’s the one you bought in the picture, it looks way too clean to be real without anything else to go by.

Looks like it's matted and framed. That could be covering up a lot of corner and edge wear.

No folds, creases, marks anywhere on there? I don’t think so.

I completely agree with everything said...Should be easy to tell if it is real once received especially if they are exactly like the regular versions only bigger.

To answer one of your direct questions, these did come with a mount though quite a few have been trimmed down. That mount extends the image out about 1" in all directions. For comparison, here are links to a few other Pittsburgh ones sold by REA over the years.

I dont have much to add, but i do have this one i picked up framed in the Halper Auction. Has a crease but presents beautifully. I never opened the frame.

Love these. I had wanted to add more to my collection, but so few come up and i didnt buy the ones that did. Collecting them has probably passed me by. There was a large set/grouping that came for auction quite a few years ago now, they went strong as expected (before the current explosion). But ungraded (lol)!

I have reviewed as many photos as I could find on these items. Once I get mine I don't think it will be hard to determine if it is real or not. The photo on the normal fatima team cards are easy to distinguish unless really good reprints have been made before. I was worried as I saw a very minor differences in the one I bought versus some that I have seen, but have since located a few others that have these minor differences as well so that makes me feel a little better for now. Once it arrives next week I will make sure to let you know the result LOL Fingers crossed.

I had a Cleveland T200 premium. Sold it maybe 20 years ago.

The dimension was 21" by 13". They are big. That is the dimension of a piece of thick cardboard, roughly made, with a brown surface. Centered on it is a very thin photograph, that is quite large.

These premiums are fragile. The corners of that brown cardboard will break away with a bit of a bump. I'd think that if you come across one that looks perfect, then it has been refurbished, reconstructed or restored by a skilled document restorer. The photograph part is also fragile, and bits of that can easily break away.

Those framed versions above show the photo part fairly well, but the matting the framer used is covering what may well be a damaged.

The standing players are as big as your hand. And that "Fatima" logo that is in the bottom center of the little cards is not on the premiums.

I showed mine to maybe a dozen people, total. I had bought it maybe12 to 14 years before I sold it. None of those collectors had ever seen one in person. When someone first saw it they would quit talking, and just hold it and look at it for about 90 seconds. That was my initial reaction when I saw it. That 'card wow experience' for me was exceeded only by the time I went to a collector's home to visit, he immediately asked me how I was then he told me to go to the bathroom, wash my hands, then thoroughly dry them. I did that and returned to his den and sat at a table where he was. He then held out his Wagner T206 that I had heard of but had not ever seen... he laid it in my hand and allowed me to hold it. I had known him for a while by then, we had gone to a few ML games, and he had shown be bits of his collection several times. My point of this is that seeing a T200 premium for the first time is memorable.

Yep just came to final conclusions yesterday. The premium was not real. The person was good though as far as the size as they new the exact dimensions. I paid a decent amount for the photo and a ticket stub from 1913. The stub is real, but the photo was not. I reached out to the auction house and although they had no desire to refund my money - they ultimately did. It is in process as we speak.
Any lesson to be learned here is that despite the auction stated all items were sold as is - I asked the question about the authenticity of the photo and received an email back stating the photo had indeed been issued in 1913. Without that email I would not have been able to get a refund. I was bummed as the auction had a ton of great stuff in it - I just picked the wrong one LOL

Wow. What a story.
Glad you're getting your money back.
It's hard to sell something that is advertised incorrectly and not do a refund. Policy or not.
