Closing Tonight - Love of the Game Fall Premier Auction

Hi All!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving and is enjoying the holiday weekend.

Just a reminder that the LOTG Fall Premier auction closes tonight, with extended bidding beginning at 9pm eastern.

This is probably our most interesting auction of the year, with a number of great collections mixed into the catalog.

For the 19th Century collector there's a group of N173 Hall of Famers that's really exciting; seldom do you see this many in one place.

In addition to the beautiful (and possibly unique) 11" x 14" photo of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Miller Huggins that's our lot #1, there's a beautiful assortment of other Type I Photos from the Durham Find of Historic Baseball Photography.

There's a tremendous grouping of Jackie Robinson items, including one of only two known ticket stubs from his April 11 debut in a Dodgers uniform, a scorecard from the following game when he got his first hit in the exhibition against the Yankees, and a great assortment of photos from early in his career.

There's the beginnings of the Clyde King Collection, a host of memorabilia from the estate of the former Dodgers pitcher's long career in baseball.

We've got almost 250 signed 1951 Bowman cards, all authenticated by PSA/DNA.

There's a nice grouping of baseball art, including a fantastic painting of Christy Mathewson by Graig Kreindler.

And there's our usual assortment of tough type cards, prewar Hall of Famers, and memorabilia (including a nice run of Michael Jordan ticket stubs, for the basketball collectors among us).

I'll be in the office this afternoon through the close of the auction, if anyone has any questions or would like to discuss consignments for our Spring, 2025 auction.
