Default New book “Base Ball & Cracker Jack: A Prized Story” just released

Hello, Net54 community,

With Leon’s approval to post this, I have a big announcement to make. My new book, BASE BALL & CRACKER JACK: A PRIZED STORY, has officially been published and is now available for puchase. This book project was nearly two years in the making, and I’m imagining it will draw the interest of card collectors and Cracker Jack enthusiasts alike.

I invite all to visit www.APrizedStory.net to get a flavor of the book’s content, to read its endorsements, and to order a signed copy. Currently, I have 50 books on hand, ready to sell. A second order of books will depend on how quickly this first batch sells out. I do ask that when placing an order via the website, please include a mailing address and any personal inscription you may like to have included. Any order placed via the website that does not have an inscription request will be signed by the author only. Unsigned copies are also for sale through your favorite online bookstore. An ebook edition (Kindle and Apple versions) are available as well.

Please be advised that I will be leaving for Cleveland/The National on Monday, July 22. I’ll be at the National (Thursday only) and Net54 Collectors Dinner (6:00PM-7:30PM) and hope to have a handful of copies with me for sale. If you want to be one of the first to receive a signed copy before the National, please place your order no later than 3:00 PM Pacific Time, Friday, July 19. Beginning tomorrow (Monday, July 15), purchased books will begin being shipped out daily via USPS Priority Mail with a tracking number provided for each order placed. I will repost if/when all 50 books have sold and when I expect the next shipment of books to arrive.

As a side note, much like the National Sports Collectors Convention, the annual Cracker Jack “National” Convention is next month, August 21-25, in Columbus, Ohio. Unfortunately, I will not be attending.

For those board members who were “in the know” about the books’ publication, thank you for allowing me to make this announcement while keeping this news under wraps. I also want to publicly acknowledge those board members who shared their insights and various portions of their Cracker Jack collections with me, thereby helping bring this project to a conclusion; it was a team effort - thank you.

I can be contacted at star6240@att.net or by completing the forms page on the website with any questions. I’ll do my best to get back with you ASAP.

Thank you in advance for your interest and support, and thank you Leon for allowing me to post this message.

Erik

It's just a magnificent series of cards (both years). Simple, elegant, stunning. The fact that it's the last major set of Federal League players (I think) makes it that much more special.

I can't wait to read.

I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview of Erik's latest release and I can confirm that it is an amazing book which is very well written.

Even if you're not a Cracker Jack collector, if you simply love the history of baseball "It Is A Must Read"!

Kudos to you Erik........

Thank you for the kind words, Brian. And thanks to all who’ve purchased a copy so far. I still have copies available for anyone who may be interested.
