Default Where The (Vintage) National Videos at??

Yes, this seems like just another way of saying, "Get off of my lawn!!!," but....

Can anyone point us vintage guys (who aren't in Cleveland) to videos which DON'T FEATURE some over-the-top, fake-smiling with fake enthusiasm guy pointing at us or displaying a card or making some other hand gestures at the camera in the graphics-intense thumbnail shots for their YouTube videos??? (See below.)
You know, something that actually shows the old stuff on The National floor and isn't all about them being some sort of a self-involved 'YouTube personality'???
That would be great.

I can only take so much before retching...and I just wanna see some cards.

Please post links if you run across something cool (and shiny-stuff FREE).

With the above sampling and the demographic it's clearly catering to, I'm extremely surprised that there's only a 1:8 ratio of pubic beard to lack thereof.

(I'm in a strange age group where the guys my age were too old for this Pubic Beard Revolution, yet a few of them have embraced it while clearly looking ridiculous in their middle age.)

A trip down memory lane. ESPN's Bill Simmons at the 2009 National in Cleveland. Funny stuff (my opinion).

I'm not sure what's up with so much stuff not being priced. That is inexcusable to me. If I ran a show, rule #1 would be All items must be priced, or your not setting up at my show.

Hopefully most of what I'm seeing is just auctions and the video cuts aren't showing that.

At 8:52 a sticker inside the display case pops into view at top of the screen that has "Heckathorn" handwritten upon it.

And heck if Heckathorn doesn't sound familar as the last name of a dealer.
'Chris' pops into my mind. Probably someone on here can identify.

Brian

J. D. Heckathorn is a longtime dealer, his son Josh has taken over Levi's case rental business, So a lot of cases will have Heckathorn tags..

There is a reason not everyone puts big display prices on the front of their cards..... Thieves. If they don't know what's valuable they don't take it. The Dallas theft is a prime example.

99% of the cards not marked on the front are marked on the back, it's very easy to ask...

I've never heard of dealers doing that because of thieves, but at least it's a good excuse.

Wow, the classical music works really well as a backdrop to showing the cases full of great cards. The 4 Collectors all do a great job!

You mean, while this guy's trotting out 'a little night music' to fill his empty space, I'm stuck using 'a little A.I.-generated music' for fills in my video??

Mozart, really?? No one can compete with that!!!

This one isn't bad, about halfway through, no talking, just checking out National. Like the Mark Twain postcard he was checking out.

Thanks for the kind words. I knew there was no way I could make one of these show videos with the typical crap AI generated Muzak. I end up putting those videos on mute.

Now we've got 3 out of the 4 Collectors in one thread with Theo and I making our first post on the forum. I signed up awhile ago, just have never found the time to explore here too much with how deeply I dove into the YouTube community. Hello Net54!

I should've been a little more clever and said, "while this guy's trotting out Eine kleine Nachtmusik, I'm using Eine kleine NOTmusik."
Lesson learned. Using German always makes things funnier.
