Finally got one of these cards

This Larry Corcoran guy threw three no-hitters, finished with a 177-89 record over eight seasons, and he led the league in strikeouts (1880), wins (1881) and ERA (1882).

Default N172 Old Judge

Continuing the N172 theme, it's been a good month for Dalrymple OJ's. After nearly a year of nothing, 2 have surfaced and I, of course, scooped them up.

OJ's are hot right now! Nice pick ups guys!

Technically Ty arrived about a week ago, but I hadn't got around to posting him in June due to my work schedule.

According to the seller it's a new to the hobby card from a one owner collection. That sealed the deal for me!

Neat...it probably feels natural to have a couple more Dalrymples under your roof.

I assume a relative?

It's a shame you weren't looking Silver Flint N172s because it seems almost every auction with more than a few N172s there's a bunch of Silver Flint cards up for auction.

I'm a Cubs collector, so part of it is probably a focus bias and part is probably coincidence, but I've been seeing so Silver Flints up for sale/auction the past couple years I feel like it's the junk wax of OJs.

Nice #181 Ruth Michael. Presents far nicer than a 2 and it's centered nicely.

My pick up of the year candidate arrived yesterday compliments of REA. Ty is sensational!

That's a beautiful CJ Cobb. There's 1.5s and then there's 1.5s like this one. Really wonderful card and borders. I love it.

Many thanks Jeff & Leon and I agree. When a card displays like this the numerical # given by third party grading is pretty irrelevant.

I'm beyond happy with the purchase!

I got this one in a trade deal a few days ago. It's not baseball, but a well-known card in the hobby.

Oh, and I have no freaking idea why PSA put it in that stupid over-sized slab!! I am gonna' have to get this fixed !!

One of the greatest cards in the hobby. But signed by the Babe himself? That's crazy! One of the all-time best pick ups. Congratulations, sir!

I always swore I’d never buy what looks to be a trimmed card, but most every, never, has an exception. I love the look of this card.

I need to do some archive digging to see what’s up with the print lines you see on these sometimes. Very curious and I know there are some serious C card folks here so hopefully there is some info floating around.

Happy 4th to all!

Thanks Everyone

I am psyched for this pickup but it has been tough passing on many great items I keep seeing
and even harder as I shrink my collection to upgrade the quality of cards as best I can.
Down to 16 Cards in the collection.

Jeff, for what it is worth, I used to own that card and auctioned it off way too early. Sigh.

Just slightly less cool than a signed Ruth, are these t206 Teletrade pickups.

I just found them in a long forgotten box, and while they predate the internet, they might have been acquired in (a) July.

I think they are my only t206 cards (unless they aren't t206 cards, or if I find more buried deeper).

They fit nowhere in my collection (except evidently forgotten boxes), so offers for the lot encouraged.

Doug

I love all the new pickups.
Love the diversity and history all the cards represent
