I have some autographed sets that I want to display in my binders with the “base” sets.
Will on-card Sharpie signed cards be ok to store in new hologram ultra pro pages? Or will the sharpie bleed off into the pages? I seem to remember a lot of bleeding with autographs into old pages from the ‘80s after prolonged storage, but was hoping the newer technology pages were ok. Any thoughts and experiences appreciated |

The Ultra Pro pages are perfectly safe for sharpie signatures. They are PVC free and archival safe, unlike the old vinyl pages.

All of my autographed items get wrapped first in either the toploader called Card Saver, Ultra Pro top loaders, (thinner material than the traditional heavy acrylic top loaders) or Diamond Clear sheet protector which is cut to accommodate the size of the item. It's extra work but worth it. The ink from the signature will not bleed onto that material.
I notice a good number of the items that I buy come in something similar. These are items such as GPC's, 3x5 index cards, cuts, and photos, many rather costly. Most sellers generally respect the item and package it properly. Just thought I'd add that info. |
