Mickey Mantle Rookie Photos - Vintage or Contemporary

Old time collector has these. Any one know the age of these?

so these photos are obviously gorgeous. I don't know squat about the dates of original photos or type. I believe these "poses" are from the "1951" season which the patch indicates.

The only time I have ever seen the photo on the right is associated with a long line of FAKE SIGNATURES with that photo from the 1980s. This is a similar ERA photo albeit with what I believe is a rock solid "Cadillac" Mantle signature with Inscription taken with the same uniform and patch.



I heard the patch was cut into a million pieces to make fake PMG patch triple lundy relic cards.

I hope someone else knows some more about them because they are indeed beautiful as they sit like that.

Beautiful Mantle autograph! I love these two Mantle photos but have no idea about the age. They are beautiful and I vaguely remember seeing them before.

Frank Bauman Photography
Frank Bauman was a photographer for Look Magazine. These photos were taken on April 26, 1951, less than a week before Mantle's first major league home run. These images appeared in the August 22, 1952 edition of Look Magazine.

Thanks for the info. Definitely the same photo shoot.

I'm guessing these were prints from the 80's but they are matted by the collector so I cannot see the back of the photos.
