Frank Frisch bat help

Just picked this up. It is 33" long and 37 oz. Most of my bat knowledge is from the 80s-90s as a Wade Boggs bat collector so I would appreciate any info on this bat. Thanks

Nice bat. Finish where tape would have been looks different from the rest of the bat. An H&B 40 model with the players' initials, such as this 40FF, would have been available for sale to the retail market. The length of the bat, in inches, is often found on the knob. Because it is not stamped with the Powerized logo, it is likely to have been made before 1932. Others may know much more.

The knob has a line carved into it. I bought it from the kid(mid 50s) of the guy that had owned it several decades. He passed away a few years ago. In blue paint(?) he put MAX'S BAT on the knob.

My best guess is it matches the 1922-25 center brand timeframe.

I figured that because of the 40 in the center label. Is my guess on year(s) made correct and any idea of value? I know it isn't much but I am hoping at least as much as I paid(not much).

Some 40 K's are considered pro models.

I believe that you would evaluate a 40K the much the same way that you would a 125: Does the bat match the length/ weight on the player's bat orders? Does the knob have the length stamped on the knob? or is there evidence that the knob is hand-turned? if you had access to the bat order records, you would check to see if any orders mention 40K cork-gripped bats.
