Heritage just sold a Hank Aaron game worn jersey with an apparent match letter from SIA for $420,000. Does the market value apparent match jersey similarly to the definite match?

Maybe it just bolstered the MEARS A8 it was given? No idea on an answer to your question, it's not a type card ...

The photo match memorabilia market fascinates me. I can see the attractiveness of using photography to conclusively authenticate the item, thus given collectors the confidence to pay additional premium for it. I just don't know if there is a general formula on how to calculate the premium once the item has been matched, either an apparent match, or a definite match

In cards, qualifiers are generally a 2 grade hickey...

There is no formula for generally unique high end memorabilia.
It's mostly fueled by emotions and wallet size. Financial analytics won't help you. A Psychology degree might. ![]() Of course, the more "convincing" the provenance is the better...whether real or manufactured. |
