FS: Circle K Find - $4 Per Box!
Okay . . . this doesn't compare to the Black Swamp find, but it's still a cool backstory. In 1985, the Circle K Corporation commissioned Topps to issue boxed sets of the then 33 top MLB home run hitters of all-time. I happened to be working for Circle K during that year, and decided to buy a bunch of those boxed sets. A couple of years later, when I enlisted into the Marines, I shipped those sets home as I didn't have any place to keep them. Then when our childhood home was sold in 1993, I totally lost track of the cards, thinking they were gone forever. Little did I know, my sister had rescued them! I just visited with her family for Thanksgiving and took them back home with me, so now I am making them available here.
The price is $6 $5 $4 per box, plus $4 for tracked shipping for the first box, and $5 for shipping on multiple box orders of two or more. I am open to virtually any payment method that will net me that amount, but prefer PayPal Friends & Family payments. The condition is virtually pristine, as these have never been in circulation or even out of their original boxes except for the sets I food-wrapped to preserve them, and then carefully put them back into the boxes again.
Although they are technically from the junk-card era, only 50,000 of these sets were produced as opposed to the Kmart boxed sets of which millions are said to have been produced.
