PAAS is owned by Mike Frost. Google will yield information. Not the same as PSA/DNA.

If they were willing to "do a little research" they wouldn't need authentication companies.

Yes and no, some people honestly just can't get the feel for it. TPAs serve a vital role in that regard, obviously great to learn your subject but not everyone has the ability to see if even after researching it.

In general, I agree that knowing your stuff will beat reliance on TPAs. I've come a long way since I first started collecting. These days I think I can tell good from bad on most HOFers and stars across most eras. Still have absolutely no feel for Willie Mays. Some guys just elude me.

As a kid I remember the company that sold the Easter Egg dyeing kits was named PAAS..... random memory FWIW

REally? Well, if someone can't "get the feel" for what he/she's collecting, perhaps a different collectable is in order.
