Up for free breakfast, ATM stop, then VIP entrance at 9:30. I wanted to curb my spending a bit today but first stop netted me several HOF OPC hockey cards for my new pre 84 sets. I’m finally starting to get a feel for the layout. Made a few more mistakes looking at the wrong line on my list but not anything major. Dealer had a stack of 1962 Topps Civil War News Confederate currency these were inserts and are tough to find under $10 each. Dealer didn’t know what they were I guess because he said $30 for 11 notes which I gladly paid. I spent and hour sitting down at Jerry Nelson’s table picking up OPC hockey singles 3 for $1 and I picked up nearly 200 hits. To continue my practice of buying pieces of items I bought two vintage empty boxes no lids 1960 Topps football and 1961 Topps baseball both for $30. Busy and hot again inside around 3pm I took an hour off the floor and got a Starbucks coffee then back inside to finish out the day. Best Buy today may have been a 1939 Play Ball Moe Berg (pictured) for $15 thanks to Kevin Savage. At six we dropped off our stuff in the car then over for the Net 54 dinner. Back in the “suite” at ten and it’s raining heavy with thunder and lightning outside.
