Default FS: Jocko Conlan Signed 1931 La Presse Supplement "rookie card"

Jocko Conlan signed 1931 La Presse newspaper supplement. Beautifully colorized photo supplement from the French language Canadian newspaper La Presse featuring Conlan as a centerfielder with the Montreal Royals of the International League. Conlan would play two seasons with Montreal before playing his only two major league seasons with the Chicago White Sox. Conlan was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1974 as an umpire.

Though not your typical "rookie card," this does mark Conlan's first depiction on a piece of memorabilia. Possibly one-of-a-kind, and a key piece for any completists out there attempting to assemble all HOF RCs.

Signed in black fiber-tip marker. The signature has been authenticated by GAI and Beckett, who unfortunately affixed their stickers to the front of the supplement. However, the small stickers are overshadowed by the sheer size of the piece (approx 10" x 16"). Includes COA card from Beckett. Some condition issues, which are apparent in the scans, but presents beautifully.

Asking $400 (net) shipped.
