Is there anything like the 1952 Topps Gray Backs (series 3) weirdness for 1953 Topps. Will post the card when I get the chance but I have a Bobby Morgan in a monster box of 53's just consigned and the front is kind of that muted almost waxy look of the 1953 Topps Gray Backs. Stock is the same as all the others but man this front is weird. I really don't believe it's a case of sun faded, but I can't find any reference to any kind of oddities that would explain it in searching 1953 Topps.
