Large c. 1910 George Close Candy company shipping container for his products, almost certainly containing baseball cards at one time and with some beautiful company advertising on two sides. It is a decorative and cool looking item that would be a nice display piece or could be used to store your collection of cards. Measures about 17x17x31 and weighs maybe ten pounds. I have never seen anything like this.

Thanks Tom. I don’t know why you didn’t get the PM or email? I called your auction house phone number and left messages. I left my phone number if you could give me a call and tell me how you want payment made, I’d appreciate it.

The George Close box arrived well packaged and I am very pleased. Thanks Rhys for making this vintage item available at a good price. I heartily recommend the seller. I will fill the box with slabbed E94s and post a picture soon for all who have requested it. I still need two cards to complete the master set- the violet LaJoie and the dark green Cobb. I’ve been working on this project for 20 years and it’s amazing how difficult some of the player/color combinations are — unbelievably tough.
