Default Michael Jordan game used signed opinion

Local seller in Chicago says he bought this game used signed jersey from the estate of Ron Santo.

The story he tells is that MJ took off the jersey and gave it to Ron signing it on his leg before handing it to him.

While the jersey could theoretically be game worn this autograph scares me.

Any opinions of the experts here is much appreciated.

I had this with a Walter Payton jersey once. I bet this was a game issued jersey but never worn.

Probably worth more without the scribble on it.

The way it stands with that signature it probably makes the jersey near worthless.

There’s no way that’s a legit Jordan auto based on the hundreds of samples I’ve seen.

The auto doesn’t look anything like authentic MJs that I’ve seen.

I'll take the unpopular opinion of believing the signature may be authentic. There are no doubt a lot of red flags, however considering the auto being on mesh it's not surprising it's not a spot on example. The few positives I see are the part the "hael" in Michael. It actually does match up with an earlier MJ signature. Also, the Jd in Jordan is reasonable too. For the red flags, the middle loop on the M is very abnormal. Also, the slant of the M drops way too much... This could be a worry because most collectors know the M is written in a way that it shows "23"... this is true but it's far more subtle than this example. I could see someone overemphasizing this when signing a fake. Also, the dead give away of most fake Jordan autos is the lack of connection between the end of Michael and the beginning of the J. Early MJ autos actually connect the two but even since his signature changed in the mid 90s you can still tell the flow of the end of Michael and the J... just instead of connecting them, he slightly lifts the pen off before starting the J, however you can still see the flow. This example does not show that, however that's not entirely surprising when signing on a surface like that. There will be a lot of stops along the way. I'd guess it's probably fake but I wouldn't be shocked if it proves to be authentic.
