I saw this listed on ebay by Greg Morris. He has a number of raw 1972 Topps autos for sale, and they appear to be legit. This one doesn't seem quite right to me. I've never seen him sign just his surname, and I've never seen him sign in sharpie.
I'd appreciate any input from members here who have more experience with Clemente autographs. |

Just posted about this a few minutes before you made this thread. I'm also very skeptical and don't see any way of this being legit.

Great minds think alike. I'd love to be wrong about this card, but the waving red flags are all here.

Well they sort of deserve it, if they really fork out the money without doing any research or homework whatsoever.

I had this same thought yesterday when looking at some terrible fakes that one infamous eBay seller has been cranking out forever. I don't understand how this clown keeps getting these high bids when it's so well known that he's a forger. He had a George Brunet card fetch over a grand recently, which makes no sense even if it was unquestionably genuine! Into the hundreds? Sure. $1000+? Crazy. An obvious forgery for $1000+? Crazy and ignorant buyer. I don't wish forgeries on anyone, but who are these uninformed people that are willing to pay that kind of money for something so patently fake?
