HOF cards for every year

I had the hair-brained idea to not only collect one card of each HOF player and manager during their active years, but also add the additional dimension to have one for each year from 1906 to present. So my HOF collection would be a journey through time showing different sets.
I am almost there, but still need the years below and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions which cards or sets I can target. The war years are particularly difficult. Is this even possible?
I need the below:
1908 Thinking E90-A
1917 Thinking Collins McCarthy
1918 ?
1924
1930
1942 ?
1945 Thinking Caramelo Deportivo?

Then, I’m good until 1984, 1986, 1994, 1996.

Jim, I like your interesting way to collect HOFers. My best suggestion is to obtain a copy of the Standard Catalog of Vintage Basenall Cards or a similar publication that has a chronological listing of vintage cards. Here are suggestions for a few of the individual years on your list:

1918 - W-UNC "Big Head" strip card.
1924 - WG7 Walter Mails Game card or Diaz Cigarettes.
1930 - W554.
1942 - Red Sox, Dodgers, or Cubs picture pack "card."

And I assume you mean E91A for 1908. Good luck with your journey.

After checking, here are some additional possibilities to consider:

1924 - V122 Willard's Chocolate Sports Champions (Canadian issue)
1930 - R315 (issued 1929/1930)

Yes E91-A is what I meant - was probably thinking about my old bimmer car E90 which is probably broken down in a ditch somewhere haha.

It’s been a fun ride so far.
One of my favorites is the 1907 Hull George Davis I got on this forum a year or two ago.
My least favorite is the hideous 1943 MP & co. Johnny Mize. Put some effort into the art, will ya?

I’ll post any updates to my progress.

"Big Head" strips are an interesting set to date. They show Babe Ruth as a batter, artfully adapted from a similar image printed by Universal Toy & Novelty Co. (catalogued W516-1) in 1920. 1919 seems his first everyday batting season.

There's a good chance Universal Toy also printed the "Big Head" set, implying a date _after_ their W516-1 image, which still showed him pitching. W516-1 says "Yanks," so it came out after his sale to New York in late Dec 1919. He more or less stopped pitching in his first NY season (1920), so W516-1 either came out in 1920 or Universal Toy missed changing that text in later years.

You could add a Pop Lloyd from 1924

The pop on the Pop is just 4 on PSA and likely out of my range, but awesome card. The 1918 Zeenut Crawford is a target (also low pop count). TCdb has the 1918 Zeenut Lefty O’doul as a HOF, but that’s because he’s in the Japanese HOF, not Cooperstown unfortunately.

1930 Bauger Chocolate could be an option worth exploring. Tiny cards (smaller than a postage stamp), but not incredibly hard to obtain as long as you're not looking a single specific player.
