So, I'm relatively new here, but I have a member offering me this card for $250, but they say they only accept friends and family. I offered to pay as high as $265 goods and services, as I'm not sending friends and family to someone with 0 posts and 0 referrals.

Is this normal around here, or am I right to assume this is just a scam?

not necessarily a scam, posters do sometimes prefer PPFF. best to check how many posts they have, ask for references from people they dealt with here, etc before making a deal when having concerns.

Thank you! I was referred to come here from Blowoutforum, where they are a lot more open to calling out, and don't even allow seller's to ask friends and family, so I'm always leery when I see that. I appreciate the responses!

What up Divino, it was myself who told you to come over, as you may have better luck here.
Where BO forums prohibits using PP gift method, it's actually quite common for many sellers to be paid via Paypal Friends... I have personally bought several cards this way, but still do my DD before hand. There is no feedback score to my knowledge on this forums, but you can still ask the seller for references/referrals. Also, Leon the head MOD on these forums says you can reach out to him anytime you need to verify a member before purchasing/selling something.
