It isn't often that I am stumped, but I am there today! See attached pics of this Willie Mays "card".
The card is clearly hand cut. It measures 4" wide X almost 4 1/2" tall X 1/16" thick. The paper on the back is 1) clearly glued on and obviously cut from something larger. Help!?

Thanks for the thoughts. The "card" is 1/16" thick - that is quite thick. Thicker than any board game box I have seen. Also don't recognize it from any of the Mays board games I have seen.

Turns out Howard and I are pretty tight, and he asked me before posting here.
I am similarly clueless about this item, other than to make the obvious observations about what can be gleaned just from looking at it. But I do appreciate the vote of confidence in my (limited) abilities!

The thickness also seems a bit much for a milk carton. 1/16 of an inch is a pretty thick milk carton. Now, I know they don’t make them like they used to back when the milkman would deliver milk bottles to your house every morning. But the thickness here seems pretty extreme for a milk carton. Based on how thick it is, it strikes me that it’s more likely to be a display piece, maybe in a store somewhere. Then someone repurposed it for their homebrew sign on the back, and later repurposed it back when they realized they had something on the front worth saving.

Howard:
Is the backing the thick part? Meaning could the front be cut from a magazine and mounted on the thick backing? Or does it seem the other way around where the front is thick and the backing is thin? Can you tell?

As best I can tell it does not appear that the front was cut from a magazine or elsewhere ( I have seen & handled plenty of those types of items) and mounted on cardboard. It appears it was produced as part of something thick and larger that someone glued whatever to the back of at some point.
