FS: 1885 Official Record w/ Jim Mutrie Cover
FS: Official Baseball Record, August 17, 1885 with beautiful baseball graphics and New York Giants manager Jim Mutrie on the cover. 4 pages (2-page fold-over). The Official Record was an important publication, the first daily paper devoted solely to baseball. It lasted for a run of only 213 issues between July, 1885 and October, 1886. Condition is quite good on this copy. Middle fold line with short tear at margin on front page (see photos). Mild toning. Nice copy of an extremely rare publication with a premier figure in New York Giants history. Middle two pages feature club standing and advertisements for the Polo Grounds.
