Modern MLB Game Used @ MLB Games

I wasn't sure where else to post this, so I figured here was probably fine.

Has anyone ever bought game used balls while attending an MLB game? I just attended my first ever Mets home game (lifelong Mets fan), and it was an absolute thrill, despite it being a loss to the Dodgers. I went to the stadium memorabilia shop and they sell some exclusive stuff including game used authenticated balls from the same game. The guy said to stop by at about the 7th inning after they had gathered enough to sell and they would be authenticated, so I did and was 4th in line and was able to buy 2 game used balls. The MLB authentication program is pretty incredible and I was so excited to be able to take these home with me. I also picked up the Alonso GU/Auto since which is part of the same program. The level of detail in the authentication is pretty amazing.

How much do they charge for those balls?

Anywhere from $50 on up to $150 for the balls from the game you are at. They have some from $50-$350 from other games available. I'm not sure if they do this at other stadiums, but I know that all teams auction certain ones on the MLB Auction site.
