Default What Goes Around Comes Around Trivia

Every one here knows a cycle requires 4 hits in a single game, many of them completed in the ninth inning, but what player completed his cycle in the fewest number of innings?

If you look it up, don't tell.

I looked it up too. Very cool.

Saw this too:

“The Yankees’ 1B Lou Gehrig “earned” a cycle by being tossed out at the plate. On June 25, 1934, as New York topped Chicago 13-2 at Yankee Stadium, Gehrig hit two-run home run in the first inning; a single in the third; and a double in the sixth. Gehrig came up needing just the triple for the cycle in the seventh and hit a smash to deep center (scoring Yankees’ CF Ben Chapman). Gehrig wasn’t satisfied with a three-bagger and was thrown out at home (8-6-2) trying for an inside-the-park home run – thus getting credit for the triple he needed to complete the cycle.“

For those who looked it up, please post the first and last initial of the player and first initial of his team’s city and the last number in the year he accomplished the record.

I think I have this right.

M.L.
Number 3
The team’s “City” begins with a D
Year: 2000

I'm not saying this is incorrect, but it is wrong.

I stand corrected. My clues would have easily led to Curry Foley

1. Curry favor

2. Foley catheter

and so on

He hit for the cycle in 5 innings in a 20-1 win for Buffalo in 1882.

However Mike Lansing did it 4 innings in a 19-1 win for the Rockies in 2000.

I'm curious if anyone else found Curry Foley as the answer.

Freddie Freeman has recently done it in 6 innings.

Oh well, I guess I need a trivia vacation.

In his next installment, Frank will challenge you to guess the right wrong answer.

Ha that was a good one. I wonder if anyone other than Mike Lansing could have gotten it right. Next one please.

All answers will be considered correct. I won't even try to find the correct one.
