This is my consignment with Goldin Auctions, please see below pics and auction link. Both the red jersey swatch and black jersey swatch are game-used as noted on the back of the card and numbered 6/23, Jordan's jersey number. Pre-auction estimate from Goldin was $8K-$12K, current bid is sitting at $1,100 + BP with just two days left, closes Saturday night, July 16th.

A word to the wise, not all Goldin Auctions end up bringing world record prices. This one ended up with me losing 60% of what I paid for this card only 8 months ago. Final hammer price was $2,300 + BP.

I think the ‘5’ hurt you.
An authentic slab would be better IMO. |

i would think there are a ton of cards if you buy at auction and sell 8 months later you will lose 60%, as there are 2 BPs involved and shipping etc...yeah there are some cards they skyrocket but most dont..

Plus he posted it on Net54 as well so people here valued it what it sold for as well.

I agree with all of you guys, especially the 5 vs Authentic grade. At the time, I didn’t really realize that this was an option and was in a hurry to sell to raise funds for spending money at the National.
On another note, I cannot comprehend how buyers out there literally today, in the middle of a depressed market, will pay $25K, $50K, $75K for a simple 1990’s Jordan insert card in a PSA 10 holder and won’t go above chump change like $2,500 for a card that was held and personally autographed by Jordan and also includes pieces from two different colored Jordan game-used jerseys and serial numbered out of 23. I don’t think this PMG stuff that sells for rediculous prices is limited to anywhere near that kind of number. Last edited by bcbgcbrcb; 07-26-2022 at 06:31 PM. |
