| Kaneen's Perez-Steele "Great Moments" Signed Set

Perez-Steele's "Great Moments" set was released from 1985 to 1997 and was limited to 5000 numbered sets. The set is fashioned after artist Dick Perez’ favorite card set of all time, the 1911 T-3 Turkey Red cabinet cards, and salutes the defining moments in the careers of Baseball Hall of Famers featured in the set. The complete set is comprised of 108 cards, which were issued in nine 12-card series. The cards are larger than the standard post card releases, measuring 5 3/4" x 8." Of the 108 cards, 70 were possible to have signed by the depicted HoFers. Here are scans of my signed set, which is now at 69 of 70. I'm missing only the very scarce Richie Ashburn, who died shortly after the card's release. I'm calling this project complete, as the astronomical price of the Ashburn means I'll likely never own that one! Enjoy! I always enjoy looking at pictures of other great collections on the board, and I hope you enjoy these as well. Here's the 3 signed ones you're missing, if you see the Ashburn come up grab it, it's incredibly tough. I wish they had kept updating the set. I've seen the Barlick also signed by Mays. |

Wow, such a great set, especially the Berra, Killebrew, Gomez and Duke. I've got a few of these, but nowhere near the ones you've shown here. Thanks for sharing.

I love this set. Signed they are even better! I have about ten singed ones myself, and will likely add more. Thanks for sharing.

| New Addition!

Today I added a huge addition to my set - an absolutely gorgeous signed specimen of a card I've wanted for a long, long time! I updated my scans above to include it, but I'm also giving this card its own spot in this post (Because I just can't stop looking at it and smiling!) This leaves me needing only 2 to complete the set - Roy Campanella and Richie Ashburn (I know...he's nearly impossible, lol) Here's the beautiful Mickey, Willie & Duke: |

Very excited to add the final card to complete this set project ("complete" for me anyways, as I'm only missing the Richie Ashburn card, and the cost to obtain that very rare one means I will likely never own one!) The only card I may add if I get the chance would be to upgrade my Al Barlick card to one that includes Willie Mays' signature, since he is depicted on that card, and some examples are signed by both Barlick and Willie. So, here's the great looking Roy Campanella card that "completes" my set! |
