Just some regular guy named Clyde Asmussen?
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Asmussen-69 It least that's what the autograph spells. There was a Tom Asmussen who played in 1909, but his middle name was William. He died in 1963, and didn't seem to have the nickname of Clyde. The ball is much newer than 1963, I'm sure. Could have just been signed for a family member or because he was probably a WWII vet.

The signature matches the one on the WWII draft card for Clyde H. Asmussen. He was born in Kansas in 1916, and died in 1993 in Denver.
In WWII, he was a corporal in Patton's 3rd Army in Germany. ![]() Steve
