Default Bought this on ebay glued to thick cardboard

The seller didn't disclose and simply called it blank backed. I could see where someone peeled enough of the card to tell it has a back. It was cheap enough I don't plan to return but would be interested in thoughts people have about carefully removing it from the cardboard or living with as is.

Default Impossible out of hand, but

that is likely a reprint/fantasy piece - What would be the point of removing it?

I am actively buying and selling vintage sports cards graded and raw. Feedback as a buyer: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=297262

I am accepting select private consignments of quality vintage cards (raw or graded) and collecting "want" lists for higher end ($1K+) vintage cards.

Default I don't doubt it's real

it's just that by removing it is the only chance of getting it into a holder. Also get peoples idea of how to best approach removing it, steam soak etc

No.

I saw this on eBay and noticed the bulging penny sleeve indicating it's extra thick. It looked very much like a trimmed reprint glued to cardboard. That this sold for $104 and the Feller for only $51 indicates most people agreed. I can't see a blank back Wilson of these guys selling so low unless most thought it fake.

I would immediately return this for a refund.

Look at the white area between his hat and skin and the white area by the hot dogs. Compare those two areas to a known good example. This looks to me like a reprint. I would return.

Buy $2 1954 Wilson Franks reprints on eBay. Glue securely to cardboard. Crudely trim all four borders and dirty up a little. Post on eBay and sell for $50-$100 each.
