Default Jackie Robinson Exhibit...need help

**thread moved to Postwar Baseball *

Just picked up these two Robinsons today at a collectibles show. Just wondering how the one is so dark. There was a box full of these 1947-66 Exhibits and several had varying degrees of the darkness. If you look you can even see the slightest hint of darkness on the lower right corner of the brighter one. Is this a production issue with the development of the photo image? The card is in great shape other than being dark with no creases. Backs of both are the correct tan color. Thanks for any insight.

I’m not sure this one qualifies but I believe “dark background” is a known variation. I’ve seen others with dark backgrounds but this one looks different.

Yes, I have seen the few "dark background" cards. This does not seem to be the same thing. This looks like an error in the developig process. You can see the very top of the card is lighter like the regular issued card.
Any ides? Has anyone seen this issue before?

Almost looks like a stain of some kind. What does the back look like? Similar or not?

No smell that I can detect. The back has not staining. Do you think it would grade via PSA or SGC or should I not even try?
