I have wrapped myself around my own axle trying to properly ID my Al Kaline autographed bats...
I have three Louisville Slugger bats, each with the "125" Stamp in the oval (not underlined) and "Powerized" (not Flame Tempered) outside the oval. The barrels have "Genuine" over his facsimile autograph over "Louisville Slugger" All of those attributes match the exemplars on the PSA site and what I could glean online about professional model bats. The problem is that the knobs have the "AK3" stamp, which I thought absolutely meant they were store model bats. It just seems I have conflicting data but I may be mis-interpreting some of the research. Each has clearly been used, but at size 33", I don't think Kaline used anything smaller than a 34" I also have two Adirondak bats...one "Personal Model" 302 Big Stick which also matches a PSA exemplar but it has "35" stamped on the knob. The other is a "Kaline Type" which I think is clearly a store model It would make sense that they are all store models, but I just don't feel confident in my own analysis. any help appreciated thanks Mike |

As in most cases, I can offer little help, but nice bats.
I can say that as a youngster, I used a Kaline bat almost exclusively--liked the handle. It was a 33", that I remember with certainty. 34" bats felt too heavy for my comfort, at least at the time.
