I have these two cards and the corners look very sharp except the '59 has two corners that might be mildly suspect. Anyone have experience, or can lead me to past post on what my chances are that cracking a SGC 88 will come back PSA 8? I also have a '64 Kaline that is 96/9 and thinking of cracking with hopes for PSA 9. Yes, these are older graded as 88 and 96 and not the new 8-9. Any thought or direction greatly appreciated. Thanks Reed Oliff/insrman

1) Wrong forum (this is for memorabilia, not cards)
2) No pictures Not sure what you are hoping to accomplish with a vague question like this, because nobody can make any type of guess without seeing your cards. Minimum price to submit to PSA right now is $300/card, but they hope to open up cheaper service level(s) in a few months. They got rid of crossovers for the time being, right? May want to wait until you can try again in slab, and even take a 0.5 grade deduction on them (min grade 8.5) rather than holding fast to a 9 to cross over.

Thanks, was not sure if this was the right forum. Is it appropriate if I find the right forum to ask some opinions of the two cards if I attach photos? I was asking more in general terms. Thanks for sending the earlier response.

Unless your cards are truly exceptional under 10X-20X magnification - you will likely get at least a full grade lower - both grading companies have gotten much more harsh in their grading. Pictures would definitely help, but being that you were able to call out 2 corners as "mildly suspect" likely means a 1.5- 2 grade reduction from the holders they sit in now.
