1935 Jesse Owens
Anyone notice the ungraded Pre-War Jesse Owens card on ebay went for over $17.k ? I was interested up to $5-6.k, but heavens! It was the 1935 Murati card. Wonder if your basic dude bought it, or some investment firm that will portion shares out - hearing more of this lately. Like Wow !

Good question about validity of date. My copy mentions 1936 Berlin Olympics on back. But PSA seems to think 1935. Sorry - posted in post-war baseball.

Ok, based on the wording on the back, it does look like a precursor to the Olympic sets of the period.
1935 might be optimistic, but there's a good chance it was issued earlier then all/most other known Owens cards of the period.
