FS: Very Rare Oddball Ted Williams - 1951 Liebig (kind of like Ruth Churchman)

Hey everybody,

Just got an item in that you don’t see very often. I put scans of just the Ted Williams card in the thread but there are actually six cards in this set, each with different pictures of sports from around the world. Cards are a little bit oversized, they are just too big for a card saver 1. Issued in Italy.

Check the PSA registry on this and there are only 10, at least as of last week, in the registry at all.

I’m not a Williams or a Red Sox collector, so figured I would put this out there for anybody who collects rare cards. For the set of 6, I’m asking $1876 OBO - Two quick points about this issue and my asking price. I’ve actually had one of these before, posted it elsewhere and while I quickly found it a good home (again, not a Williams collector), I had some really mean comments from two people (on a different forum, not here) that I’ll just preempt.

The first is that you will see at the bottom left-hand corner of the words “ Riproduzione vietata”. If you look up the definition of that phrase, it means “all rights reserved” and not that it is a reprint..

The other thing that people will notice that there was one sale of a card like this for around $200 (search Liebig Williams), which is obviously much less than I am asking. Totally get that this one sale might turn people off, but I also think we’ve probably all seen listings for cards that we would say “dang, I wish I had seen that.”
