So I'm thinking of adding an Old Judge type card to my collection. I'd like to add a St. Louis Browns player. Any suggestions on a particular player/pose? What am I looking to pay for a low condition (SGC 2-3) common player with good registration? Love to see scans of what you all have.

The Browns Champions cards are nice and affordable. Also, here's an n173 style cabinet Fred Mann from a St. Louis studio.

For what you're seeking, I'd say expect to pay in the $150-$350 range.

Rob's suggestion for a Brown's Champ N172 is great, especially since you're looking specifically for the Browns team.

If you are going with St Louis Browns it really is hard not to go with the Brown's Champs subset. From that subset the non-HOF players I would suggest are...
Bob Caruthers (outside shot at HOF someday) Dave Foutz (won 41 games for 1886 Browns) Tip O'Neill (batting champ, hit .435 in 1887) Arlie Latham (in baseball forever and one of the most famous of his day, he is also in the T206 set) Not found in that subset but also worth thinking about... Silver King- won 45 games in 1888

I stumbled upon this St. Louis baseball website a year or 2 ago, for those wanting a deep-dive into St. Louis baseball history. I assume he is a board member... www.krispaulw.com/bbstl.html

The Tip O'Neil is a nice card and 'uncommon' common.

Agree on Caruthers. Known for his pitching, he was also a very good outfielder and hitter. Here's one I have of him batting for Brooklyn. BTW, he was born on this day in 1864.
