Nostalgia and Mattingly
I returned to the world of cards in March. I started with vintage HOF players, then pivoted to the entire reason I got back into cards - Don Mattingly.
I was 12 when I saw my first 1984 Donruss Mattingly and was never able to afford it, so in March 2020 I bought all three of his rookie cards. I've decided that was so much fun I'm going back to focus on just Mattingly cards, so I'm buying any card that looks interesting and preferably in a PSA case. That set registry sure is addictive! Here are some of my favorite recent pickups because food issue Mattingly cards REALLY take me back to being a kid! ...and that's why I'm collecting again - to feel like a kid!
