Default Rare Fleer Letter

This letter likely dates from 1958 and was written to major leaguers in an effort to sign them to "non-exclusive" contracts with Fleer as it made its entry into the baseball card market. Players were given $5 to sign an initial contract and then promised $125 or 5% of gross profit, whichever is greater. I would like to know the name of the lawyer who drafted the letter as it seems to give the individual the option of taking 5 percent of the profit! I signed a contract with Topps in 1968 and also received $5 to sign. I kept the letter from Sy Berger and the contract, but cashed the check. Damn!

I had not seen this before I picked it up during a recent visit to Cuba. An interesting and unique piece of hobby history is for sale for $75.00, postage paid.

I don't want to distract from your sale, but there are some interesting notes about Art Wolfe and his career in this blog post: https://sabrbaseballcards.blog/2019/...ystery-solved/.
