Good morning, all, I am looking to pick up a Modern wax box to distribute a stocking stuffers to the card collectors in my family. I only collect vintage, so the new stuff is completely lost on me.
Someone suggested that I buy a box of the 2022 heritage cards, which are designed like 1973 tops. I’ve seen these cards, they look great! Also, someone affordable for a box of 24 packs. Here’s where it gets confusing to me. Can someone help me understand, which box from that series I should pick up? I see that Ebay has lots of boxes available now for “high series” which I don’t think I’m looking for, right? Thanks for any advice! Jeff.

The 2022 Topps Heritage product does look pretty cool. The "high number" is more of an update/late series. For general collectors, I'd go with the non-high series, personally.
Another great vintage themed options are 2022 Topps Archives, which uses the designs of 1963, 1978, and 1987 Topps. I bought a box of these myself and enjoyed them. I also like Allen & Ginter. I also opened a box of those.

Heritage high has all the big rookies. Heritage regular will have many more stars and also has wander Franco rookies (no Julio Rodriguez).

I would also buy a hobby box vs retail. Hobby boxes may cost a tad more but for young collectors it’s far more exciting as the chances are far better of pulling better inserts and chase cards. Retail packs are more likely to be duds due to jackoffs with their scales and pack feels. Go to a trustworthy LCS for a sealed box or web seller.
Edit to say I don’t buy new boxes except one every year for my son at Christmas but I have used Dave and Adams Card World and Blowout Cards and they seem good in my experience. My local card shops tend to mark up a bit over my acceptable quotient sadly.
