I believe I've seen your wantlist on OBC. Been meaning to contact you. I have a Mantle and a Terry. The Mantle is in pretty nice shape, I have to dig the Terry out.
I also collect 62 jello. Do you have any dupes ? Send me a PM. |

Yes, my wantlist is on OBC. I have one dup left #92 Norm Siebern. I think I have more somewhere but will have to track them down somewhere in my basement.

If I remember correctly, you are almost complete in 63 jello. Do you have some dups there ?

I basically just need SPs : 3,35,47,56,61,68,74,78,82,94,146,162,163, and 192.
I need these upgrades : 2,12,21,31,33,34,45,49,51,53,91,97,100,103,113,114 ,122,126,128,132,136,137,156,157,158,159,164,167,1 76,190,198,199,200. On upgrades I'm looking for what I'd call near ex, pretty well cut, a light crease would be ok. I collect Colt 45's, I could use these in just about any condition - 187, 191, and 192. Same with Yanks, I could use #18. I have a 63 jello Bruton which I see you need. It may pass muster for Vg. I could also help you with a 63 post Mantle and Maris. |

Unfortunately I only have two cards from your list - #137 Dick Stuart and #158 Bill White and they are in VG or better condition but they are still in good shape. Hopefully, the JPEG will be exceptable on your end and you can judge what condition the cards are in,

I bid on the 62 Jello Stu Miller tonight but was sniped on my $260 bid. I think this is a much harder card to find than collectors think. It's not in any top 20 most difficult cards threads and yet it and the Twins cards of Versalles, Green, Tuttle and Martin are very scarce and hard to find, at least that's been my experience.

It's not in the top 21. $260 for one of those would seem like a very good deal. But I do think Miller could certainly be #22. Billy Martin would also probably be in the top 25. I think the other Twins you mention, while tough, are a little easier than those 2.
By the way, the only other Stu Miller I've seen on EBay recently had tape on his face, and went for over $140. |

A couple of other things. I was telling Wayne the other day that I felt it was likely Stu Miller only appeared on a large box of Jell-O in 1962. Was basing that on the fact that in all my time collecting these things, have only see well cut ones (and have verified this observation with a couple of other collectors who have a Miller card such as Dan Mabey). That being the case, it just seems likely Miller had to come from a large box of Jell-O solely where it is just is easier to get a nice cut on a card. If that is truly the case, then goes a long ways to see why he is a tough one. Second, just a note on the top 21. I do not believe that those are out in the hobby in equal numbers. Not a chance. There is clearly a ranking of some sorts within that group. My last card to complete the set was Alex Grammas. Johnny Hustle told me that his last was Gene Freeze. And I know a third collector's (whose name I am not comfortable saying on this website as not sure he would want that) final card was Hal Smith. So it is tough to say which player is the "toughest". But in my mind within the top 21 there are easier ones. Jim Pagliaroni and Curt Flood would fall here. Surprisingly the card the price guides say is the most valuable falls here too in my mind. Bobby Richardson. He simply is not as tough as many of those at the top of the list and not sure why is given such a big value in price guides (this did not use to be the case, but at some point years ago he enjoyed a massive increase in his guide value). A dampening effect on Richardson scarcity is that he appeared on two different jello flavors, whereas with most of the others, there is only one known flavor the players card was on. Over and out. Have a good day. |

Hi. I am not a big collector of these but saw an album with sets of teams collection really cheap on eBay. I couldn't pass it up. The collection is 1963 jello or post (mixed). What caught my eye was the 187 Aspromonte jello hidden in the mix as I collect Colt 45 stuff. I think I would like to sell these, even the 187. I didn't win the Yankees team set....it was cheap but I missed it by a few bucks. I expect to get album in a week. (Pls note these appear to be attached in some kind of corresponding collection album. I won't know how till I get them). Will need help to guide me through these? Casey
