Default Good Ole Contentnea's T209-1 & -2

We haven't had a "show your Contentneas" thread lately. There are some neat poses in both sets.

I have a couple of T209-2 cards...this one has been scanned. Always liked these B/W photo cards.

Leon--Thank you for starting this thread. As you may know this is my favorite set of Southern Minor League players. I'll post some T209-2 (b&w) poses now, and some t209-1 (color) later. My favorite poses are the field representations, and my favorite team in Series two is Goldsboro. Coincidentally, they are difficult to find. Bub Sharpe and Fred Stoehr were good friends on the team, and Stoehr is a difficult card.

There is one horizontal card in the second series, and I have attached that as well.

Then there are some humorous cards like catcher Missitt--one hopes he didn't, although his real name was Messett. And then there is every young boy's favorite, Titman.

Finally, I love the little mascot in the background of Schumaker's card.

If you'd like to learn more about the set, go to my website: https://t209-contentnea.com/

Cheers,
Mike

Nothing can lure me out of an 18-month Net54 hiatus like a "Show me your Contentneas" thread The first series is my favorite prewar set, and is the first (and only) prewar set I have completed.

Anyone else confused by the glove placement in the horizontal dual player card? It's like his arm is going through the sliding player.
