A very tough card with only one graded by PSA according to the population report. A scan of the card should be below.
Cross listed on ebay. Available on Net54 for $SOLD or best offer. Price includes shipping and is net to me. PM if you have questions or offers. Thanks for looking! Last edited by trambo; 09-14-2019 at 05:47 PM. |

Beautiful card, what is the MK, the back dot?

I think so. I couldn’t find anything, either.

Possibly the mark above the first "T" in Cigarette ??

I'm going with the red upper lip as the reason for the MK. I'd think it's most likely a print spot and not a post-production mark, but hard to say. As luck would have it, Leon just started a thread on this subject and posted some other pics of red-lipped vintage subjects, although none were T206.

I thought that as well until I saw Leon's thread. Then I thought the mark about the "T" although that looks like a tobacco stain to me under the loupe. Fun card but doesn't fit my set!! |

I dont think the upper lip is the reason for the MK qualifier. That is a factory "misprint" so to speak and would not count for the qualifier...It could, however, hinder the grade obviously....

If the MK is due to that large brown spot, I would think the card would have been given a grade of PSA 4(ST)

2 on the SGC pop report. Very cool card. I agree there is something on his lip. When I manipulate the image graphically that line stays after everything else has been bleached out. If you could get us a higher res image I could be positive.
Awesome card!

Now that the Cycle 460 McGraw (glove on hip) is being marketed by its new owner, did we ever reach a consensus about whether it was the red lip that triggered the MK designation or if it was something else? The tiny spot on the back doesn't look to me like the sort of thing that would trigger an MK qualifier.

We talked about it quite a bit but really never did get to the consensus on what it was. The only thing I can see is a green dot to the right of the "460" logo that looks to be a mark of sorts. Otherwise, I can't find anything!! Check w/the current owner, though as he may see something I didn't. It's a beautiful card regardless!! Last edited by trambo; 09-25-2019 at 04:40 PM. |
