Vintage Business Letterheads
Early letterheads/billheads has captured attention of collectors for interests such as: original artwork, history of company business, memorabilia and personnel interest in collecting certain products, ancestry interest in family business, and historic societies. I've collected these for sometime mostly for their attractive artwork and for certain subjects. These are still quite cheap. Here are some from a mix of subjects:

Those are all really cool.
The bike one is especially interesting, at least to a bike collector... There was an H.B.Edgerly who was a shoe manufacturer in Farmington NH, which seems like a bit of a distance from Salem to buy a bike. But the COD makes me think it was shipped so maybe that was him and he wanted a specific brand or model. One of his factories was in Maine, so he got a round a bit, and Salem had a decent shoe industry as well as some leather tanneries. I like to try to look up the people on some of the stuff I find. It adds a bit to it if I can find some information that's certain.

Cool stuff. I found an unused Mint condition American Caramel letterhead once. I was in Lancaster PA in an antique shop going through a bunch of old paperwork and pictures and found it. No creases or marks or anything.

Nice clean letterhead. Although I have and save business letterhead blanks as well as completed dated invoices and correspondence letters I prefer the completed invoices and letters with it's business history of sales and promotions.

This is more than just a letterhead or business letter. The author of this letter, George Washington Wells, is my wife's Great, Great Grandfather. He was one of the founders of American Optical Company and eventually became president. His Sons, her Great Grandfather and Great Uncles were collectors whose collections are what many people in Massachusetts know as Old Sturbridge Village. I found this on ebay. It was being sold for the letterhead and not the content or the author.
